
Thanks to a reader for sending an update on Al Forno Pizza coming to 3201 New Mexico Avenue, NW by Chef Geoff’s. It will now be called La Forchetta. The reader writes:
“Apparently someone claimed they were already using Il Forno as a name.
The ANC struck a deal on liquor permit, and they’re supposed to open in March.”

Apparently they are really bad at selecting names. There is a restaurant named La Fourechette in AdMo Similar enough spelling that it will cause confusion, IMHO…

I don’t think anyone will confuse the two restaurants. The locations couldn’t be more different.

yeah, up by AU. Unless you live up there or go/went to AU, there aren’t a ton of reasons to know where it is.
There is an avenue (or street) for every state in the union.
