Back in late April we learned that Noodles & Company was looking for a zoning variance for 2635 Connecticut Ave, NW. It seems they got it as major work has begun on the space.

Noodles & Co. is crap. But that neighborhood seems to be a magnet for mediocre food.
I used to eat at Noodles & Co. all the time as an undergrad. The pesto cavatappi was my favorite… but then I realized I could go to the store and get a box of spiral pasta and a tub of pesto and make it myself.
Yay Noodles & Co.? Definitely boring for the PoPville crowd, but it is always better than an unused space.
My kid will eat the noodles.
I’ve eaten at the Arlington location several times, and the food was always bland and greasy. This place is going to last about as long as the cereal restaurant in Cleveland Park.
The tourists at the Omni an Wardman park will make this place crazy successful. I agree with poster who commented that it will keep tourists out of the few good places in Woodley Park.

I disagree. This is a prime tourist throughway to and from the zoo. It is visible from the metro station. It has brand recognition. It is family friendly.
Feel free to gloat if I am proven wrong!
It’s a lot better than Woodley Cafe and maybe it will keep the tourists out of the few good places in Woodley.
Good to see some movement in that space finally. I agree that it’s not the most fabulous food, but it’ll be a big tourist draw for the Zoo and conference crowds.
I actually really like Noodles and Co. The mac and cheese is great. Glad there will finally be a DC proper location.
I think it’s the kind of place that’s liked by people who like mac and cheese and disliked by the rest of us.
why? the point is….
Not that big of a deal. It will do well.
Wow, the noodles in the second picture look HUGE.
