  • And what do you think all those officials listed (Cathy, Kimberly, Linda, Teresa and Muriel) have in common?

    how bout that

  • Nice late notice, jeeze. A day advance would be good. What, are they scared of ambush?

Can they please answer the question the nice officer didn’t, how many kids are involved, it’s got to be more specific that LOTS. Add too that…How many halfway houses east of the park?

  • Would have been nice to know about this before (best case) 2 hrs. before-hand. It might be on the list-serve, I guess, but I get the daily digest instead of individual emails b/c there’s only so much Keith Jarrell I can tolerate.

Did anyone go and was there anything relevant? Or was this Takoma specific, seeing how MoCo police were invited and there have been a bunch of robberies up there?

    • Focus was mostly on the immediate neighborhood around Ohev Shalom (Shepherd Park), but there were lots of Takoma residents and a few Brightwood people as well.

(The meeting was first announced on Oct. 18 on the Takoma, Brightwood, and Shepherd Park listservs; Bowser also included it in her newsletter which was released yesterday; at the meeting they apologized for the late notice but thanked the people who made it there despite it.)

  • OMG, that is right next to my house!! that sucks. There is a white halfway house right behind that green house in the picture. For years people have been gathering out behind the house and getting rowdy. I think that’s why they put the permanent police van right there. Since its been up, the crowd has dissipated. But the last couple weeks i have heard what sound like gun shots randomly throughout the night. kind of weird. Still love my street, but I wish the cops would be even more proactive since their is a police station literally one block down.

  • OK, what do these three ladies have in common? The D.C. Chief, Councilwoman Bowser, and Teresa Howie. One of the crimes you could have solved would have been,
A N.W. DC man sits around making false reports of Terrorism and money laundering, to get revenge because he cannot lay up and be lazy as he has done for the last 20 years, living off his grandmother. He’s ticked off because he tried every lie and dirty trick in the book and he still lost his mother’s phony court case trying to get free money instead of a job. He is a loser who is costing taxpayers and law enforcement time and money. He attends God Glorified Church in Takoma Park, MD. Council woman Bowser was kind enough to help his mother get her water turned back on when she owed a huge water bill and in return, the mother who is just as evil as the son continues to waste time and taxpayers money making false reports of terrorism against anyone who ticks them off including family members and fellow church members. So those three ladies can solve one crime by arresting and prosecution them for false reports of terrorism.
