Get ready for a look at the magic of pottery making! On Thursday Nov 12th everyone is invited to the North Hall of Eastern Market as it comes alive with clay, creativity, and community as top ceramic artists from across the country join forces with local studios for “The Pottery Jam”—a lively evening of demonstrations, storytelling, food, and fun. It is a rare chance to watch master potters working side-by-side in a fully interactive setting. “The Pottery Jam” brings together accomplished artists from across the country, each with distinctive techniques and perspectives to the evening's programming. Attendees will observe skilled demonstrations that illuminate the craft of pottery-making including wheel throwing, hand-building, and decorating. Expect to see Dan Finnegan, Sam Taylor, Mark Shapiro, Catherine White, Stacy Snyder, Michael Kline, and more in action. Whether you want to participate, observe the masters at work, chat with fellow clay enthusiasts, or discover a clay studio in your neighborhood, everyone is welcome!
