I am the vocalist and songwriter of NADIE NADIA, and I have a show at the Pie Shop on August 15, 1pm, alongside fellow DC-based band, Your Trusted Officials, and Richmond-based 4la7la. For this show only, a local DC punk band, Superweapons, will play their rendition of my NADIE NADIA songs with me.
The show is also my cassette release of FRANK and little cleopatra, and 100% of the cassette sales will be donated to the Northern Jaguar Project, an organization that “preserves and recovers the world’s northernmost population of the jaguar, its unique natural habitats, and native wildlife under its protection as a flagship, keystone, and umbrella species.”

Bio:
NADIE NADIA is an indie post-rock, jazz, and alt-pop project. Influenced by Sumiko Yamagata, Mildred Bailey, and jazz-adjacent groups, each one of NADIE NADIA’s songs aim to reflect and connect the shared human condition. In addition to their haunting melodic synth-driven original songs, NADIE NADIA performs Swing and Big Band jazz standards from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and 1960s.
NADIE NADIA has performed with So Far Sounds in Pennsylvania, Texas, VA, and DC, as well as at DC9, the Pocket, Galactic Panther, Red Onion (now Shady Lane) Records, Dwell, Lapop, Songbyrd, Litostudio, Lena’s Wood-fired Pizza and Tap, PJ’s Coffee, Tryst, and the Fridge.
