Now in the festival's 13th year, we are bringing you a hybrid film festival with virtual screenings for 29 films via Eventive, and four in-person screenings in Washington, DC the first and second weekends of October.
Our second night of the festival will open with complex explorations of adoption, cultural divides, identity-seeking and reunion through the award-winning documentary, Between Goodbyes, which will be preceded by narrative short film Girl | Dad. Join us to reflect on family and how we build home and belonging in the context of intercountry adoption.
We’ll be hosting a discussion following the screening with local comic artist and author of Monstrous: A Transracial Adoption Story, Sarah Myer. Moderated by Kim Gube.
