The 2nd Annual Mardi Gras on H Street is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration bringing the spirit of New Orleans to Washington, DC. Taking place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 12 PM, the festival transforms H Street NE into a lively hub of music, dance, and community fun. Festivities kick off on the Main Stage at 1207 H St. NE with marching bands, drumlines, line dancing, and live performances, including the U.S. Army Blues Band, Eastern High School’s Bue & White Marching Machine, the Capitol Hillbillies and free line-dancing! Families can also enjoy moon bounces, face painting, and interactive activities throughout the afternoon. Additional programming continues at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, featuring puppet shows, dance performances, and a family-friendly theater matinee. Live music and dancing at The Gallery O and Henceforth Brewery add to the block party feel, creating a fun filled day for everyone. With colorful festivities, dynamic performances, and something for all ages, Mardi Gras on H Street is a free, inclusive celebration that invites the entire community to eat, dance, and celebrate together.
