I noticed this garden had a can and some aluminum foil type paper surrounding the perimeter of their garden. I’d never seen this before. Does anyone else have some tips on how to keep their garden vermin free?

I’m sorry I thought this was an odd and hilarious sight. I mean there were like 10 or 12 tree stumps here in a really odd pattern. Maybe they could paint them and have some wild modern art, yeah? I think I saw some clubbed seals in the backyard but I couldn’t get a good photo…

I thought it was odd that there was a drain on the top of this retaining wall. The surface area is not very large. Am I missing something here or is that a very odd spot for a drain?

My guess was it was used to load coal? Any other ideas?

Anyone who has been to the lower level of Looking Glass Lounge may have noticed that there is a bag of water suspended over the entrance to the outdoor patio area. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out it’s purpose other than a weird spot for a goldfish or for popping over an unsuspecting patron’s head. But it turns out it is actually placed there to keep flies out. How this works I have no idea. Has anyone ever heard of this method for keeping flies out? If so, how does it work?

Well, my Dutch is a little rusty so I had to google it. It is from Descartes and means I think therefore I am. Pretty wild to place it in stone in front of one’s home, yeah? Personally, I’ve always survived by: absentem laedit cum ebrio qui litigat.

This particular house is not a basement nor part of duplex, so why does it have a 1/2 in it?
