Our staff has extensive experience with salt water fish, corals, marine invertebrates and the creation and maintenance of healthy ecosystems. From the beginner to the sophisticated hobbyists, CEF is providing the finest equipment, a healthy and robust offering of fish, and highly competitive pricing. Our staffs’ experience working with large zoological aquariums and their reef aquariums ensures that the fish and coral partnering avoids stress, deaths, and any chance for a negative experience.

Also, all of our bright and vibrant coral, bound to add color/life to your aquarium, is also aquacultured versus collected from the wild to limit the impact on our planet’s fragile reef ecosystems. We carry a large variety of invertebrates along with healthy and colorful fish that can work for tanks as small as 7 gallons or as large as 300+ gallons.

In our new saltwater department, you can see a wide variety of color on our fish. From popular favorites like Nemo and Dori, a clownfish and blue hippo tang, to the enchanting and majestic seahorses; we are bound to leave you in awe with the unique livestock we keep in stock. We also have a strong selection of planted macro algae aquariums. This is a relatively new style for the aquascaping community and CEF carries as many as 21 different species of macro algae.

With CEF’s aquacultured corals, you will be mesmerized by the vibrant color and motion in our frag aquariums. Their hammers, torches and goniporia will almost make you feel like you’re in the ocean feeling the current from the waves as you watch the corals flow in the aquarium waving back and forth.

Attention D.C. renters!

Did you know that D.C. law requires building owners of 8+ residential units to provide bike parking after a written request from a tenant?

The District Department of Transportation’s Bike Parking Guide (page 6) states that there should be “the lesser of either one bicycle parking space for each three residential units; or enough bicycle parking to meet the requested demand”.

If you do not have a secure place to park your bike, consider sharing your request and the Bike Parking Guide with your property manager and ask that they contact MetroBike.
