Local Businesses Aim for 20,000 Sales on Small Business Saturday

For this year’s Small Business Saturday, DC Shop Small and District Bridges have teamed up to bring together over 300 businesses in the D.C. area for an online shopping event: DC Shop Small Saturday.

On November 28, participating businesses will encourage residents to shop at their local small businesses to keep them in business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The goal of this year’s event is to generate 20,000 transactions collectively from all participating businesses on Small Business Saturday. Shoppers will be encouraged to make as many purchases as they can at local shops, businesses, restaurants and more to prove that dollars spent within the community have a large and resounding impact. To incentivize shoppers, each purchase made at a small business on November 28 will enter them into a city-wide raffle, featuring a giveaway from 20+ local businesses totaling over $500. Participating brands include Shelter, Salt & Sundry, District of Clothing, Georgetown Massage, Nubian Hueman, Appointed Co and more.
