I don’t know how I missed this one (I think from Swann Street, NW). I’ve posted some other Cavanaugh works before but didn’t recognize this one. You can see some info about the artist here.

This is one of the coolest most unusual houses I’ve come across. I think I may have featured the door before because it definitely looks familiar. But the whole house is amazing. I particularly like the windows. And of course there are some sweet porch sculptures as well. It’s located on 28th Street near P St, NW in Georgetown.

This one on 12th Street, NW was absolutely mesmerizing.

I couldn’t get a great angle on this sculpture but it sorta looks like a very pensive devil. But it also has wings so I’m totally confused. Is this a figure from mythology or something? Anyone recognize it?

Ojo Latino is a series by Néstor Sánchez Cordero. This week features statues and views from the Organization of American States (OAS). Néstor says, “Images are around, the secret is to catch them at the right moment and with the right light…”

Two more after the jump. (more…)

I feel like this one may have been in Bloomingdale as well. I think the sculpture blends in with the garden amazingly well.

These are from First Street, NW in Bloomingdale. A friend of mine thought they may have been installed for the First on 1st Art Walk. Anyone check that out by the way? I can’t wait to check out their next one.

This is located near today’s House of the Day. It’s at 16th and Arkansas. We’ve seen this artist, Allen Uzikee Nelson, all over town. His pieces are quite recognizable and all equally striking.
