Remember Run DMC’s style from the 80s with those big gold chains? I swear the style is coming back. I’ve seen a number of young kids sporting those huge gold chains on the metro. Have you guys seen this too?

So I’ve seen a number of lion statues protecting homes but this is the first pair of Mother Marys I’ve seen.

Good lord, have you seen the Verizon Center lately? In the Gallery Place metro there are dozens of posters celebrating its 10th anniversary. And then I see this. I’m not sure if you can tell exactly just how large this sign is but it must be at least 50 feet by 50 feet. It is huge. And this is how they chose to adorn the Verizon Center on its 10th anniversary? Two and half men? Doesn’t the Verizon Center get millions of dollars for the name Verizon Center alone? That’s not enough? They have to put the biggest most garish tv ad up as well. In French we would say the Verizon Center is behaving like a pute.

I just thought this was hilarious. It is an advertisement for a Dominos special placed on the fence of one of those huge mansions in Logan Circle. If they do buy it, I bet they eat it with a fork and knife…

I saw an 18 Wheeler truck make a u-turn on 14th Street. How is that even physically possible? A u-turn!

Remember when I was surprised that a mattress was taken off the street? There were a number of commenters on that post that suggested you could get rid of anything if it was free. So I walked past a number of books, records, and dvds that were free for the taking on 13th Street and there staring at me in the face was a “Yanni Live!” dvd. Now tell me, do you think someone will really take that as well?
