This wild shot was taken by quigley_brown of the C & O Canal in Georgetown. I’ve never seen this style before. It looks like it could be from 100 years ago. Very cool.

This bizarre shot is from Tyrannous who asks a great question – “What is it?”

In honor of artomatic opening tonight, here’s a shot of a work by our very own multi-talented hipchickindc.

From an email:
“The building is 55 M St. SE right atop the Navy Yard Metro Station on the green line. This year’s Artomatic has over 1,000 artists participating and probably nearly that many musicians and poets. Artomatic will run from May 29th through July 5th. The hours are: Fridays and Saturdays, 12 noon – 1 a.m.; Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 12 noon – 10 p.m; closed Mondays and Tuesdays.”

Wayan Vota writes:
“Manuel is one of the many soccer (football) players who meet each weekend at Clark School. He is also part of the clean-up crew picking up the trash after games, or like today, early in the morning. Here’s a big thanks to Manuel and his friends – for making Clark School lively and also keeping it clean.”
Very cool.

This great shot is from scottahb. Not surprisingly I’m a huge fan of that faded sign off 14th Street, NW. I’ve never really looked at it from this angle before. Very cool.

I thought this was a great shot from quigley_brown who writes:
“Waiting for my Takoma Red Line ride this morning. I just wanted to get a shot of the vandalized advertisement, but got an added bonus of this guy doing some sort of Eastern religion exercises.”

This great shot is from gc-dc. I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t where this is located. Ugh. Help!
