The destruction/construction of the home at New Hampshire and Upshur, sadly, continues. Well, if it’s gonna be a disaster it might as well be a completed disaster instead of just an empty wreck. Though, every time I walk past this home I lose a day of my life because my blood pressure shoots up and I involuntarily start cursing…

I’ve been monitoring the progress of this pop up on 10th Street south of Florida Ave. I have to say it’s looking a lot better than I originally anticipated but it still seems a little off. Obviously it still has a little ways to go but so far would you give it a thumbs up or down?

Thanks to a reader for the tip on this new pop up located on the 1300 block of Oak Street, NW. It’s hard to tell in it’s current state but do you think this’ll be a good one? I kinda like the fact that’s it’s going to have a double bay window. You?

After the jump check out a pop up that I’ve shown a number of times that has finally been completed. It’s the one that has a super sweet glass fire escape. (more…)

Well, we haven’t judged pop ups in a while. What do you think about this one? It kind of reminds me of one of those old Volkswagon vans that has the pop up tops. Yeah, I’m not a big fan of this one. you guys?

This home is located a couple of blocks north on Florida from today’s “good deal or not” feature. When the tree in front has leaves it is very difficult to even notice the pop up. I think it looks pretty good though I’m not sure why there aren’t any windows. Do you think it is a proper room? Thumbs up or down?

I think this pop up looks pretty good. What do you think?

This isn’t a good deal or not feature but for the curious this house is for sale located at 2906 18th Street. Details can be found here.

But don’t forget to tell me what you think of the third floor…

I kind of like the brick but I think it would look a hell of a lot better if it was painted. As far as pop ups are concerned it doesn’t seem to bad. What do you guys think – thumbs up or down?

Wow, is this going to be a double pop up? Or just one floor with two sets of windows? At this point, what do you think, will it look alright, or is it going to be a brutal eyesore? Just for reference – below is the only other example of a double pop up I’ve ever seen.

I don’t see them too often but every once in a while I do spot a great one. This one was hardly noticeably from the street. When I crossed the street I spotted it out of the corner of my eye. You can see it is recessed which provides a bonus balcony/roof deck. Sweet.
