I think the graphic representation of someone climbing a fence is brilliant. Personally, that’s not my fence climbing style but I get the message anyway.

Ridiculous. Simply ridiculous. Two chimneys, unbelievably cool little balcony. Good stuff.

Actually located in Mt. Pleasant, interestingly enough. I love the sign out front. When I went to go in the bottom entrance I, sadly, saw a sign that said “no cameras” so I quickly retreated. I found that curious, why wouldn’t you want someone to take photos of your shop? And is that such a big problem that you post a sign saying no cameras? Is this a famous store that I’ve just never heard of?

Oddly, a number of people have emailed me asking for Spa locations near Petworth/Columbia Heights. As I have been to a spa exactly zero times in my life, the only one I knew about was the Medspa on 14th St. in Columbia Heights. But I passed Ramona’s Day Spa and Salon on 3103 Mt. Pleasant St. recently and was wondering if any one has been? If so do you recommend it? It looks cool from the outside.

I dig ’em both. Although I also believe strongly in a well equipped and well trained US military. I don’t think they are mutually exclusive…

This house/mansion is truly amazing. You can easily imagine what it looked like in its former glory. And I’m sure with a million bucks or so it could be restored to its previous glory. It is located on the corner of 18th and Monroe, NW. So for my real estate sleuths – what is the asking price of this mansion. Check out a close up of a sweet window after the jump. (more…)

See, this is what I’m talking about. It is the little touches that makes things special. You know this restaurant could’ve saved a little money by having plain tile. But they went that extra yard. Now this might not be the greatest art I’ve seen but damn if I don’t respect the effort. This is in Mt. Pleasant for the record.
