I guess I really do like this section of 10th Street, NW! I like the contrast of this corner house with the rowhomes. Almost it looks like it’s from London.

Sorry it’s half cut off but you can get the sense of the coolness here. Set back from the sidewalk with a nice little front yard.

This is from the Mt. Vernon Triangle neighborhood. I’m a huge fan of the window that stick out the side like this. It’s pretty rare to find ’em like this.

There have been a lot of beautiful houses posted this week. But I haven’t lost my love for the simple beauty either. This house was found in Georgetown. Is the siding wood?

This house has some seriously insane details. It’s from the Kalorama neighborhood. Funny thing about a house this nice is the couple of window a/c units you can see. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against a/c window units, hell I have some, but on a house this nice…

Last week when I put a best spot for a morning cup of coffee post up a commenter said the whole house was awesome. Indeed it is another beauty from the 100 block of U Street in the Bloomingdale neighborhood. I really can’t figure out why I didn’t take photos of the whole house before. I suspect my mom was not 100% truthful when she said I was never dropped on my head as a baby…

But you can see the details are spectacular:

Here’s a cool split one from LeDroit Park. I think I like the one on the left better. Do you think this was one huge house back in the day?

Mad props to my friend Dave for sending me this photo. Back when I toured the Brookland area I heard about this mythical “circle” house. We walked up and down dozens of blocks looking for it. I was convinced it didn’t exist. But then I got the greatest simple text of a photo saying – 10th and Irving NE. Awesome!

Here’s another cool Bloomingdale rowhouse. I like the detailed trim.
