I know it’s not traditionally the most beautiful house, but what can I say I love fire escapes. Plus I like the contrast of this home set back with the one on the right hand side of the photo.

This beauty is from Macomb Street, NW in Cleveland Park. I used to walk up this street to go to grad school at AU back in the day. This house was in far worse shape back then. It’s nice to see it restored to its original glory. It’s one of the smallest ones on the block. So glad they didn’t pop this one up.

I found this one in Adams Morgan to be very unusual. I like the third floor balcony. I don’t know what it is exactly, but it’s got a cool look.

This house has so many cool features. But believe it or not what struck me most was was the sweet porch lamp. I’m finding really nice porch lamps to be really rare finds. Of course the whole house being awesome doesn’t hurt either.

Because folks liked the HoTD on Center Street, NW, I thought I’d show a couple more cool ones from the same block. I particularly like the one on the right.

This is a cool house located at the intersection of Woodley Road and Klingle. It’s a bit unusual because I’ve never seen a roof deck on a house like this. It’s also got a great garden going on.

This amazing house is located on the 1800 block of New Hampshire Ave, NW.

This is a very cool house from Center Street, NW (east of 16th Street).

I’ve always loved this house/building on 13th (I think) just south of Logan Circle. I really dig the color, balconies and roof.

Ed. Note: It’s an old picture I don’t think that dumpster is there anymore.

Looks like a normal row house but it’s actually a bit wider than most of those I see. I’m not sure why that fact fascinates me so much but I just find it pretty wild.
