Here’s a wild one from Capitol Hill. I think this pop up works quite nicely. Best part is after the jump. (more…)

I thought this was a very unusual rowhome renovation. I’ve never seen an old one with the front totally reconfigured like this. I’m sure it’s nice to get all that light with the big windows but do you dig the overall look?

The door’s kinda cool but I really like the lantern hanging down.

This isn’t my favorite house but I’ve always been intrigued by homes that once functioned as stores. Do you like these homes that have the big storefront windows?

This is a wild building. It is located on a “historic” street in Capitol Hill and does not blend in that well. So I’m curious to know what you think? I think in and of itself it’s not so bad. But I don’t really think it works on this block. What do you think of the home itself? And do you think it’s cool to have such a different style home on a block like this? Here’s what the house next door looks like:

This home is super cool because it used to be a bank. Ed. Note: Nichole was able to give me a bit of a tour around the Hill and provide some background info – like the fact that this home used to be a bank. Super cool. It also has a very odd lawn decoration.

I think this one looks phenomenal. Dang, I can’t remember what street it’s on. Anyone recognize it. Even so, thumbs up or down?

I always find this big stand alone houses between rowhouses to be unusual. I’m betting there are some amazing original details inside here.

This condo is located at 1320 13th Street, NW and was completed around 2003, I think. What do you think of the alternating brick and blue windows? Is it worthy of the name the Icon?
