I wondered if Columbia Heights Coffee was the best place to work or study? Sadly, the comments got deleted in the migration, so if you have a favorite spot put it in the comments.

I wondered if color choices made it harder to sell a home?

Condos above Petworth metro were but a whole in the ground. For those that don’t remember it’s wild to see this photo versus the one I posted earlier today.

How about “coolest neighbor in PoPville”? Snap a photo of a neighbor you admire and send a couple of lines of text about them. I think we may be able to get some really interesting entries from some long time residents. Send the entries to [email protected] and if I get enough entries we’ll make a contest of it.

Well, believe it not PoP is almost two years old. So I thought I’d start a new post highlighting some good finds from a year (or two) ago. By the by, there is going to be a huge two year PoP anniversary party Nov. 13th at Wonderland featuring the bands Milk Machine and O’Tasty (and potentially one more). So mark your calendars. T-shirts with the new logo will be unveiled.

So, one year ago today:

I discussed the merits of putting bricks under window air conditioner units.

I found a decent Pop up (warning, there is vinyl involved).

I checked out Java & Cream up in north country which I think, sadly, has closed.

This comment really made me laugh so I had to give it due props. It comes from Esther:

“Yeah, can we as a people, collectively stop saying Fro-Yo? (Unless of course we’re eating it in NOMA)”
