Sorry for the late notice. From a reader:
“The National City Planning Committee (NCPC) is holding a very important hearing on Thursday, July 10, from 12:30 to 3:00pm. The location is 401 9th Street, NW, Suite 500N, Washington, DC 20004.
It is vital that the community gets out in support of park land on the Irving Street side of the ARH. Thanks!”

Modest but with style. I like the blue as well.

Can anyone guess the location?

You can’t keep up with these Joneses so don’t even try…
That’s pretty wild, yeah? I can’t decide if it is the coolest planter I’ve ever seen or the most ridiculous. What do you think?

Located at 1017 Monroe St., #1 this condo is a stone’s throw from Columbia Heights Coffee and Red Rocks. The flier says renovated in 2006, 3 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms, 1344 square feet, 2 levels, private back deck, and condo fees of $200 per month. The asking price is $499,000. So good deal or not?

Not to be outdone by Roosevelt High School it seems Cardozo will also get a sweet new football field. But my question is: Where will the soccer leagues play over the Summer?

Thanks again to DC realtor Kevin Wood for compiling this list of home/condo sales for zip codes – 20011, 20010, and 20009. What’s the benefit of a seller’s subsidy versus lowering the price? Are there any other zip codes y’all are interested besides the ones here? If the font is too small you can click the following for a pdf attachment junesales.pdf Pages 1, 2 and 3 after the jump. Alright not arms but letter writing. I had discussed the Yes! Organic Market not being able to get a liquor license in a previous scuttlebutt post. Well, I’m now hearing that this may be a deal breaker for them. Remember there is supposed to be a Yes! Organic market coming to the corner of Georgia and Taylor. I truly believe that this will be a phenomenal addition to the community. So if they need a liquor license to be profitable, hell, let’s get them a liquor license. In the short term I suggest anyone who wants Yes! Organic market to come to the area to email our Council Member, Muriel Bowswer, your concerns: [email protected]
On happier scuttlebutt news I have received another tip from a very well placed source that the Ellwood Thompson Grocery store slated to come to DC USA is a done deal. So that makes two tips from very well placed sources. Very cool.
