A reader spotted this on Park Rd just east of Georgetown Valet.

Thanks to a reader for the heads up. It’s located in the alley across the street from Tryst.

This stonework is incredible though I’m not sure if I support the two columns to the left versus the 4 columns on the right.

Got to love the mini houses. Interestingly there is another one almost directly across the street (I think I featured it back in the day). They are located in Shaw on 10th Street if memory serves.

But there is good news. They’ll reopen in a month or so with the addition of a sit down restaurant! You can see our previous discussion on Everlasting life, located at 2928 Georgia Ave., here. I know this guy is going to be psyched…

It’s a bit faded but you can see on the red brick in the background it says – Chrysler. I wonder if there was a Chrysler plant back in the day or if it was just an old advertisement. Anyone recognize the location? I’ll give you a hint the building in front of it is a gym.

This has to be the craziest contrast in styles I’ve ever seen. This is from Mass. Ave east of Dupont Circle. The building on the left is the Uzbekistan Embassy and the modern styled one on the right is the Institute of International Economics. Wow. What do you think of them individually? And next to each other? Super cool or a tragedy?
What a cool shot from Tyrannous. Anyone recognize where it was taken?

This house is located right off Logan Circle at 1305 Rhode Island Ave, NW:
The flier says:
“This is a wonderful 4 unit building. CofO, business license. Large one BR is owner occupied, English basement, 2nd and 3rd floors are all 2BR 2BA units. In Logan Circle historic district. Just one house off the Circle. Income of $6650 montly for 3 units. One large 1BR is owner occupied.”
More info and a virtual tour can be found here.
What do you think of the exposed wood beams? I think they’re pretty sweet. This is an interesting selection as it is broken up into units and one of the units is already owner occupied. The asking price is $2,100,000. It seems to me that might be worth it if it were for all the units but the fact that one unit is occupied makes me hesitant. That and the fact that I don’t have $2,100,000… What do you think of the house itself?

Locolate is located at 18th and Florida Ave.
Back in January we spoke about Biagio Chocolate located a bit further south on 18th Street. A friend of mine says this place makes the best hot chocolate. You can check out their menu here. Any fans out there?
