Saturday night (11/8) two friends of mine and I went to Le Dip around midnight. We sat at the bar and ordered fries and a bottle of champagne among the three of us.

Update from DC Fire and EMS: “Update Working Fire 400 block Rhode Island Ave NE. All visible fire knocked down. Checking for hotspots. Fire originated rear porches & extended into interior 2 story mixed use building. No injuries reported. Displacements anticipated.

DC Fire and EMS reports: “Conditions encountered upon arrival at Working Fire 4th St & Rhode Island Ave NE. Dry, windy conditions led to rapid spread of fire thru rear porches and into 2nd floor”

“Dear PoPville,

Busboys & Poets now charges a flat $3 “Green Planet Fee” for all to-go and delivery orders to cover “tote bags, compostable containers, and biodegradable flatware.” That seems a little steep to me given that my nearest Busboys location usually omits the flatware (despite my specific request for it in my online order) and still packages items in regular ‘ole paper bags (not those reusable tote bags).
