I noticed this scene on upper 14th Street when I went to check out Red Derby. It was very interesting, there was a group of three preachers taking turns preaching on the corner of a house. It was interesting because it wasn’t a church but there was a decent sized (outside of photo) group standing around listening. Unfortunately (for me) it was in Spanish so I couldn’t understand the message. I just thought it a bit odd that there were so many people listening. All the other street preachers I’ve seen, people just fly right by. I wonder if they just don’t have a Church of their own and this was their solution…

It looks like the Allegro condos just north of the Dance Institute on 14th St. is going up at about the same pace as the Park Place condos going up over the Petworth metro. I wonder if they are completed around the same time who is going to win out…
