Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in preventing suicide. Change begins with everyday heroes like you who help build a community of hope, connection, and support. Join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) in making a meaningful impact and saving lives.

On October 17th, thousands of lifesavers are coming together at the Lincoln Memorial to create a culture that’s smarter about mental health at the AFSP National Capital Area Chapter’s 19th Annual Washington, D.C. Out of the Darkness Walk.

Whether you walk in memory of someone you’ve lost, in honor of your own journey, in support of a loved one, or simply to stand with our community, every step funds critical research, advocacy, programs, and resources that save lives. Together, we can turn awareness into action, stigma into understanding, and hope into healing.
