Calling all craft enthusiasts and science lovers in Adams Morgan! The Because Science store is thrilled to announce the highly-anticipated grand opening of The Craft Lab on June 24th!

Step into a world of endless possibilities with our crafting workshops, engineering challenges, and a plethora of other fun experiments designed to bring out your inner scientist. At The Craft Lab, we’re dedicated to making science accessible to everyone, so visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in a unique and interactive experience like no other.

RIPPLE EFFECT, a group exhibition featuring seven contemporary artist-jewelers investigating the power of potential of ceramics in personal adornment. Influenced by and in response to the zeitgeist of our times, artists explore the voids and interstices between jewelry and the human form by manipulating clay, porcelain, and metal. The exhibition features artists Jen Allen, April Felipe, Mia Kwon, Lynn Latta, Maia Leppo, Lorna Meaden, and Didem Mert.

Fresh off a successful National Council of Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference in Cincinnati, RIPPLE EFFECT is traveling to Washington, DC during Smithsonian Craft Week, May 5-7th, 12-6pm.
