Mieza Blendery Open in Alexandria’s West End

Mieza Blendery, located at 109 Clermont Avenue off Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, was founded by Alex Lynch, a DC native, who fell in love with brewing Saison and Sour beer after college. As a home brewer he bought his first wine barrel in 2011 and has been brewing professionally ever since.

Join us Tuesday’s at your favorite “Hideout” for our Shuck and Sip event! We’ll be serving up delicious oysters delivered fresh every Tuesday for just $1 each, along with your favorite drinks to wash them down.

Our cozy and welcoming spot is the perfect place to unwind after a long day at work or catch up with friends. And with our unbeatable prices, you can indulge in as many oysters as you like without breaking the bank! We also have Happy Hour daily from 5pm-7pm all under $8…but shhhh don’t tell anyone….

The 14th annual celebration of all things Washington, DC will bring live performances, vendors, contests, and local artists to Franklin Park in Downtown Washington, DC.

Queer Family Summer Sanctuary is a new celebration of Indigenous+Black+POC+Queer heart, art, and soul in the midst of intensified LGBTQIA+ attack across the country.

Consider hosting a U.S. Department of State-sponsored high school exchange student! These students have been selected for the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program and offered scholarships to attend Barrie School (13500 Layhill Rd, Silver Spring, MD). Could you help welcome one of these students to DC or MD this August?

Hosting is a great opportunity for any kind of family: large/small, with/without children, young/old. Students require a safe environment, bed (can share a room with another teen), and three meals/day. Students have medical insurance, a $200 monthly stipend, and support from American Councils.
