Concerts this Friday and Saturday by DC’s Premier Choral Ensemble – the 18th Street Singers!

Across five sections, the 18th Street Singers spring concert—”Heartsong of a Nation: An American Choral Tapestry”—is an immersive journey through the songs of America, inviting audiences to embrace the diverse voices and stories that shape our collective choral tapestry. Repertoire will include contemporary works by Yannick Morgan (a world premiere!) and Ayanna Woods, inventive arrangements of Unclouded Day and Amazing Grace, and the classic spirituals of Motherless Child and Tambourines to Glory.

Cost should never be a barrier to the arts and provide a wide variety of ticket options to fit any budget. Options include $20 general admission, $15 senior, pay-what-you-can, and FREE admission options for students. Available online through the link below or at the door (until we sell out).

The 18th Street Singers have performed at a wide range of venues, including the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, the Kennedy Center, and the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony (attended by President Barack Obama), and they have performed as back-up singers for Demi Lovato and Hugh Jackman. The 18th Street Singers were voted DC’s Best Local Choral Group in Washington City Paper’s Best of DC 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023.
