On Monday, October 19th, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, the 3rd Annual Howard University Golf Community Day is taking over the historic Langston Golf Course (2600 Benning Rd NE).

The event is completely free and open to all D.C. youth and families, offering introductory golf clinics, family activities, and the chance to hang out with Howard University’s championship-winning golf student-athletes and Director of Golf Samuel Puryear.

It’s a fantastic initiative tied right into D.C.’s rich sports history—especially given Langston's legacy as a vital sanctuary for Black golfers since 1939, and the incredible national success the Howard golf program has seen since launching in 2020.
