1827 Adams Mill Road, NW

From an email: “The MICHELIN Guide today announced new additions to the Washington D.C. selection of restaurants. The additions include four new restaurants.”

The Four are:

“September 2026

Adams Morgan

Rye Bunny

With a casual, farmhouse vibe and no-reservations dining room, Rye Bunny brings hybrid counter service to D.C.s’ vibrant Adams Morgan neighborhood. In the kitchen, husband-and-wife team Jon Sybery and Jill Tyle interpret American comfort foods with a contemporary twist though dishes such as anchovy toast with orange compote and Aleppo pepper fried chicken.”

Maison Bar à Vins

Tucked inside an Adams Morgan brownstone, the chic yet intimate Maison Bar à Vins entices diners with a well curated French-inspired à la carte menu, curtesy of Chef Matt Conroy. Plates — including whipped crème fraîche with diced steelhead trout and green strawberry, and rooster crest-shaped pasta with ramps and clams — appear simple yet are bold and surprising in flavor.

Mount Pleasant

Bar del Monte

Italian small plates and house-made pizzas take center stage on the menu at Bar del Monte. While there might be a line outside the door of the charming, no-reservations neighborhood spot set in a Mount Pleasant alley, Chef/owner Oliver Pastan’s creations like chickpea-flour fritters, lamb skewers and a rotating lineup of pizzas (think anchovy and squash blossom) makes it all worth the wait.

NoMa

Elcielo Bistró DC

Located next door to fine dining Elcielo in the District’s Union Market, Elcielo Bistró DC offers a more accessible take on Latin American cuisine than its upscale sister does. Chef Juan Manuel Barriento’s creates a modern, Colombian-inspired à la carte menu, including items like shrimp empanadas with garlic mayo and Meyer lemon; chimichurri bison ribeye; and vanilla and salted caramel flan for dessert.”
