The Tumblers
For Fans of: The Lumineers, The Head And The Heart, The Kooks
With electrifying performances and bold, unfiltered songwriting, The Tumblers are bending the folk rock genre and capturing hearts as they take their show on the road from Brooklyn. “A fickle friend is my favorite enemy!” shouts lead singer Jack Crawford-Brown into the mic, and the crowd answers, “Enemy!” as the band jumps in unison, like a rock band decided to pick up a banjo and a violin.
Moongold
FFO: Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones
Moongold brings a modern take to vintage soul, blending gritty funk grooves, warm R&B tones, and a jazz-infused heart. Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Najeé Maité and led by guitarist and songwriter Marc Wren, the five-piece channels the spirit of Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones, and a late-night Stax Records session. After coming up through Denver’s music scene, Moongold relocated to Washington, DC, where Adam Edwards (bass), Frank Mitchell (sax), Michael Huffman (trumpet) and Sriram Gopal (drums) help power a tight, soulful live show that keeps crowds moving. Being fans of science fiction, Moongold takes its name from an original album artwork concept depicting a sci-fi book cover of astronauts mining for gold on the moon.
