“Dear PoPville,
I was at the 28 July Passion Pit show at the 9:30 Club, and as I was walking out we made eye contact – I smiled, you waved. You (30s?M, around 6’0”) were wearing a white (linen or cotton?) short sleeve button down with blue embroidery, New Balance sneakers, and octagonal wire glasses. I (31F) had on a pink mini skirt, black shirt, and tortoise shell glasses.
Earlier in the evening (around 6:30pm) it was pouring down rain at U St metro and a bunch of us were waiting in the station for it to let up. You struck up a conversation with someone else while waiting, so I didn’t approach you even though you seemed super cool. Later at the 9:30 Club I saw you in the crowd with your three or four guy friends having the time of your life, but I was too nervous to say hi.
If you’re down, I’d love to actually meet you over a drink or coffee!”
