Japanese Spirits Tasting Soirée Returns July 12 for Its Third Annual Celebration of Japan’s Distilling Traditions

DC Sake cō Brings Together Premium Japanese Whisky, Shochu, Gin, Awamori, and More at Hotel Zena

Washington, D.C. — DC Sake cō will host its third annual Japanese Spirits Tasting Soirée on July 12, 2026, at Hotel Zena, bringing together spirit enthusiasts, industry professionals, and curious newcomers for an afternoon dedicated to exploring the diverse world of Japanese distilled spirits.

Now entering its third year, the Japanese Spirits Tasting Soirée has grown into one of the region’s few events dedicated exclusively to Japanese spirits. The event was created to introduce guests to the incredible range of products emerging from Japan’s centuries-old distilling traditions—from handcrafted shochu and awamori to award-winning Japanese whiskies, gins, and vodkas.

“Many people are familiar with Japanese whisky, but few realize the depth and diversity of Japan’s broader spirits culture,” said Reiko Hirai, Founder of DC Sake cō.
