Anybody know what’s happening on 7th street and Jackson NE? There was a helicopter circling low for about an hour at 6:15 this morning and now an entire street is blocked off. Fire people just said “police incident.”

Wondering if you have any info or insight into what these helicopters keep doing above Mount Pleasant? They circle with spotlights on seemingly aimlessly until the eventually fly off. Their tail codes are Park Police helicopters, but I can’t find anything on what their purported reason is for disturbing neighborhoods late at night.”
Another reader asked: “Something’s going on in Shaw/14th St/U St. Tons of cop cars just went screaming down S St headed west and now MPD Falcon circling nearby overheard.”
Andrew Leyden replied: “Park Police had a chase. Ended at Harvard and Lanier Place NW in Adams Morgan area. USPP EAGLE assisted in the incident.”
