District Creates Festival

Sunday, June 28, 2026

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bridge District (600 block of Howard Rd SE, Washington, DC 20020).

DC Makers’ Guild, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the District’s independent maker community, is hosting the inaugural District Creates Festival, a one-day outdoor festival showcasing the best of DC’s local craft and creative economy.

District Creates brings together makers, artisans, neighbors, and newcomers for a day packed with live craftsmanship demonstrations, a curated Maker Market featuring more than 30 of DC’s best independent makers, hands-on Make & Take workshops, Creative Conversations panels, free crafts for all ages, live music, a Beer Garden, and local food trucks.

“District Creates is for the dreamers and the doers. For the neighbor who chooses local without hesitation, the aspiring maker who’s ready to take the next step, and anyone who’s ever wanted to try something new with their hands.” said Alex Fraioli, Executive Director of DC Makers’ Guild. “Whether you’re here to shop, make, learn, sip, or just soak it all in, there’s a place for you.”
