“This Saturday, May 9, from 9-1, Adams Morgan is hosting its annual “Mother of All Yard Sales” — and this year it’s hitting all-time records with 168 sellers across 90 addresses, the most in the event’s history dating back to 1987.

“The Mother of All Yard Sales, the oldest (since 1987!) and largest community yard sale in the DMV, will be held this Saturday, May 9, in Adams Morgan.
This year’s sale will be our largest ever, with 160+ people hosting sales at 90+ addresses throughout the neighborhood.
All sales run 9AM to 1PM, with many staying open later.
DC being DC, the folks hosting sales this year include Pulitzer Prize winners, former deputy mayors, unnamed Administration officials, and just general badasses with killer taste and cool knickknacks and garments to unload.
In addition to all the yard sales, this year’s event also features a growing contingent of neighborhood businesses hosting sidewalk sales to coincide with the longtime yard sale event. Participants include Garlic Girl Vintage, Tiny Vinyl Shop, Because Science, Shanklin Hall, Mindful Movement, and the annual Alliance Francaise DC book sale.”
