A reader reports around 4:50pm: “Pretty bad crash involving a DC police car at NY Ave & Bladensburg NE.
Traffic backed up during rush our for westbound lanes and probably impacting eastbound. Intersection going westbound basically closed.”
From AlertDC: “DDOT reports all westbound lanes on New York Avenue at Bladensburg Road, NE, are currently blocked due to a vehicle crash. Traffic is being diverted onto northbound Bladensburg Road, NE. Expect delays and please use alternate routes.”
