March 19-28: DC Environmental Film Festival

Tickets are on sale now for the 34th Annual DC Environmental Film Festival. March 19-28, our programs will return to venues across the DMV Area, including museums, foreign embassies, universities, and other cultural institutions.

With the theme Against the Current, this year’s lineup of over 60 films will be a ten-day showcase for the bold storytellers, visionary leaders, and grassroots changemakers who are confronting urgent environmental crises and inspiring action in the face of powerful headwinds.

“Being in the nation’s capital where policy, power, and culture intersect, the theme Against the Current feels especially resonant,” said Monica Schorn, DCEFF Executive Director. “We’ve curated our programs to spark dialogue, inspire discovery, and foster meaningful connections across diverse communities. Together, these films invite us to imagine what’s possible when we choose to protect what we love and strive for a more just and sustainable future — even when the tide pushes back.”

Notable titles include: the DC Premiere of A24’s Sundance Grand Jury Award winner Nuisance Bear, the Leonardo DiCaprio produced eco-thriller YANUNI, National Geographic’s SECRETS OF THE BEES, as well as retrospective screenings of Hayao Miyazaki classics PONYO and NAUSICAA OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND.

Tickets and the full schedule for the Environmental Film Festival are now available at dceff.org.
