For the past 30 years, the annual RSF Press Freedom Awards have been held around the world to honor journalists and media outlets whose work has made an exceptional contribution to the defense or promotion of press freedom. This year, the awards ceremony will be on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6 PM EST at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC – marking the first time the ceremony will be held in the United States.

RSF USA advisory board member Lulu Garcia-Navarro, an award-winning journalist, co-host of The Interview from the New York Times Magazine, and an on-air contributor to CNN, will host the ceremony. Michel Martin, an Emmy-winning journalist and host of NPR’s Morning Edition, will deliver a keynote address.
