Get Serious Dough for Remodeling With a Mate

Fall is here! You know what that means, right?

Drinking pumpkin spice lattes in your newly renovated kitchen? Close… Watching the leaves change color from the window of your remodeled bathroom? Closer… How about starting that renovation you’ve been putting off so you can enjoy doing all of these things? Bingo!

With D.C.-based home remodeling technology company remodelmate, booking a home renovation is easy as (pumpkin) pie:

1. Describe your project online
Pick a room, select your updates and start time, schedule a free virtual in-home consultation, and get a no-commitment quote sent directly to your email inbox.

2. Review your quote
Hurry, the quote has a time limit! This helps remodelmate keep prices stable for homeowners and competitive for local contractors.

3. Get started
Your assigned contractor gets to work once materials are ordered. Payments are then distributed to the contractor as project milestones are completed. Manage the milestones on your own for a 10 percent discount on your project, or use remodelmate’s expert Concierge Service to save yourself time and energy.

But wait! A Grand Gesture!

As you saw earlier this year, remodelmate gave out $500 to PoPville readers who booked a renovation through the platform.

For a limited time only for PoPville readers, remodelmate is giving out a “grand gesture”: give $500, get $500. That’s $1,000 in shared savings between you and your mate when they book a project on remodelmate.*

Text MY500 to 31996 to get your promo code
(P.S. Share it as many times you’d like!)

And the best part? There is no limit to how much you can accumulate. Successfully refer 20 of your mates? You just got $10,000 towards a home renovation.

The remodelmate model

With remodelmate, prices are straightforward and pre-negotiated with their community of local, vetted contractors.

This means that your hard-earned money is protected throughout the process, and contractors only get paid when each task of your project is completed.

Oh, and all contracts, invoices, and addendums are handled digitally so you’ll never have to whip out your high school graduation pen that you got from your grandpa.

Ready to start renovating likes it’s 2018? Build your project today: www.remodelmate.com.

*Project order must be a minimum of $10,000 for both the referrer and referred customer(s). But it’s all good! The average home renovation through remodelmate is about $17,000, so you’ll meet the minimum in no time. To qualify for the Grand Gesture promotion, all projects must be booked through remodelmate by midnight on November 17, 2018. Text MY500 to 31996 to receive your promotion code, which must be submitted to remodelmate in the project scheduling process through www.remodelmate.com.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
