We’re just days away from opening the doors to the DC Tackle Shop, and I’ve been overwhelmed—in the best way—by the support from this community.
From the news outlets helping us tell the story, to the Mayor’s Office showing real interest in what we’re building, to the team at the DC Department of Buildings working with us down the stretch… thank you. Seriously.
And none of this happens without our crew. The people behind the scenes putting in long days (and nights) to bring this place to life—you guys are the heart of it all.
We’ve got a couple final bureaucratic boxes to check, but we’re right there. You can feel it.
This shop was always meant to be more than just a place to buy gear—it’s a hub for the DC fishing community, a spot to hang by the water, grab a drink, and connect.
We can’t wait to open the doors and share it with all of you.

I was able to take a little tour of the space yesterday and while the skies didn’t cooperate – you can still get a taste for what a sweet meeting/hang out spot this will be.
