Yesterday we shared the news that Skylark was coming to 1201 Half Street, SE in Navy Yard:
“Your new favorite neighborhood bar and pool hall in Navy Yard.”
We got the scoop and lots more news about what’s coming:
“Good news, DC! Skylark Billiards is coming soon! We’ve got five pool tables, 10 draft beers, a wide assortment of bottled and canned beers, frozen and unfrozen cocktails, and Navy Yard’s newest patio where you’re guaranteed to never get a sunburn. It’s going to be everything you didn’t know you needed in your neighborhood.
Brought to you by the folks from Kingfisher, Bedrock Billiards, Jackpot, and Rocket Bar, Skylark will be your new favorite place in Navy Yard. The ownership team of Daniel Willliams, Todd Greene and Curt Large first worked together at the legendary DC bar, Iron Horse Taproom, and have been working on bringing a new bar to the Navy Yard for a while now. Finding a spot wasn’t easy, but good things come to those who just keep trying.
Located at 1201 Half St. SE, in the via between Half St. and Van St., Skylark is in the middle of all the action. If you’re a local or coming to the neighborhood for the evening and want a spot to shoot some pool while enjoying a beer, we’re here for you. If you’re on the way to a Nats or a United game, we’re on the way and a much better deal than anything you’ll find at either stadium. If you’re just looking to relax on a patio with a frozen margarita, you won’t find anything better. And if none of that sounds appealing to you, then we wish you all the best on your journey into stoicism and self-improvement.
We’re just starting the process, but we’ll have updates to share as things progress. Follow us on Instagram at @TheSkylarkDC to see how it’s all coming along. We’ll be seeing you soon.”
