“PEPCO has stated that power outages are likely today and tomorrow and have asked that everyone do their part in trying to conserve energy.
You can:
Turn your thermostats up a bit while you are home and if you leave for an extended period, turn them up to 80.
Keep lights off when not needed.
Do laundry during off peak hours when the temperature is cooler.
Run your dishwasher at night.
Unplug vampire electronics when not in use. Examples include: TV’s, cable boxes, video game consoles, DVD players, routers, computers, chargers, monitors, coffee makers, fans, toaster ovens, microwaves, speakers and any smart device.
