Kentucky Derby at Due South

Due South brings Churchill Downs back to D.C. for its Fourth Annual Due South Derby Day.

From 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, guests will enjoy Derby-themed food and drink, including $40 bottomless frozen juleps, a festive Hat Contest and Run for the Roses Raffle giveaways leading up to “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.”

Ladies and gents don their favorite hats and fascinators to participate in the annual Derby Hat Contest! First place winner receives a $150 Due South gift card. The second place winner receives a $100 gift card and the third place winner receives a $50 gift card.

Run for the Roses Raffle with prizes brought to you by our friends at Varnish Lane, Willow, Solidcore, Vineyard Vines, Courtyard Marriott Capitol Hill-Navy Yard, Smathers & Branson, Jim Beam, The Bullpen and more to come!

Cinco de Mayo at Surfside

With the only rooftop bar in the neighborhood, Surfside Glover Park is the place to be this weekend for Sunday, May 5th’s Cinco de Mayo celebration.

In addition to delicious food and drink specials, Surfside will have live music playing throughout the day. Cinco de Mayo specials starting at 11 a.m. include half-price margarita pitchers, half-price Surfside riptide pitchers, half-price seasonal pear cocktail pitchers, $20 mix-and-match beer buckets, $5 tequila shots, $10 Bermuda Triangle platters of guacamole, cheese dip and salsa served with chips.
