The annual St. Patrick’s Parade of Washington, D.C. will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 12:00 Noon, and will proceed down Constitution Avenue from 7th to 17th Streets, N.W. The parade will feature marching bands, pipe bands, Irish dance schools, military, police, and fire departments as well as floats and novelty groups. The parade route is easily accessible from the Federal Triangle, Archives-Navy Memorial and Smithsonian metro stations. “Showcasing DC Irish Culture” was chosen as this year’s theme to celebrate local Irish-American leaders who have been instrumental in the promotion Irish culture throughout the DMV area and become leaders in showcasing Washington’s unique Irish heritage beyond the city. Honorees are:

Grand Marshal: Pat Collins – NBC news4 journalist and local DC media personality
Gael of the Year: Pete Strickland – Coach of the Ireland’s men national basketball team
Division Marshals:
The Winch Brothers, Terence Winch & Jesse Winch
David McKenzie
John McCarthy
