Well I’ve been putting this off because I’ve been hoping for a miracle. In January we posted that “Lou’s City Bar has been closed for a few weeks for a “winter refresh” in Columbia Heights. Hopefully only temporary and not “temporary”…”. Turns out it was “temporary” aka permanent despite best efforts. (more…)

SalviMex, in the former Mi Cuba Cafe spot on 1424 Park Rd NW, is now open. I went there with my family. The food is high-quality authentic Salvadorean at a very reasonable price. I had sopa de mondonga, came in a giant serving with excellent ingredients.” (more…)
