Back in June we learned that the old coffee spot at the corner of 14th and U would become a boutique (selling handbags and such) and cafe. I’m not sure if that’s still the plan but I did notice some construction permits in the front window so hopefully they’ll be opening up in some capacity pretty soon. And by some capacity I really mean as a cafe of sorts…
You think this spot is too small to support just a cafe given the high rents of the area?
I’ve been seeing the chimpanzee with a gun and money popping up all over town. Stops me in my tracks every time.
Much like vestibules, I am incapable of not photographing blue doors.
Looks like a normal row house but I suspect that is a sweet roof deck and skylights are always fresh…

D’Vines located at 3103 14th Street across the street from DC USA has wine tastings every Thursday and Friday from 5:30 – 8 pm. Nice.
They also have a wicked fresh selection of quality beer that I never noticed before:
