Dear PoPville,
I’ll keep this brief, but I was on a no-makeup coffee run (Monday, Jan. 30th) at the Starbucks on 16th & U when a really friendly guy held the door open for me and I liked his smile! Seemed pretty tall, brown hair, blue eyes (I think?) and was wearing a black hoodie I believe. Read More

“Dear PoPville,
Just read that the Starbucks at Union Station is closing. Starbucks said safety was the reason for the locations that came out… Hard to believe it is a safety issue there… There must be more to it!”

“Dear PoPville,
Since the pandemic started, I’ve gone on a walk every day before beginning the work day around my apartment in Adams Morgan.
Just now (around 9am), I was about a block away from my apartment next to the Starbucks at the corner of Calvert and Columbia when I was randomly approached by a man in a ski mask. I thought nothing of it, but before I could respond, the man grabbed an AirPod from my left ear and darted over to the plaza directly across the street. Read More
“Dear PoPville,
Just wanted to write in here on behalf of my dad. He told me he was in Dupont on Thursday morning at around 8:00am getting his morning Starbucks coffee when a shirtless man with a hammer approached him on the sidewalk outside the PNC bank. The man said he had just gotten out of prison and could hit him with the hammer and no one would find out. My dad said he just told the man “Ok” and walked away. He didn’t seem very shocked by the whole fiasco but I am! Stay alert people!”
