Come help us celebrate the closing of Maryanne Pollock’s show of abstract works on paper, inspired by and made to jazz: “Improvisations.” There will be live jazz and refreshments and it’s FREE to the public!
Pollock is one of DC’s top artists. She received her BFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She continued studying painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Corcoran College of Art and Design, and graduate painting at the American University. She is a certified art educator and docent with many years of experience. She represented the US at the Genoma Contemporary, contextual to the 2011 Venice Biennale and in the Arts in Embassies Program in Egypt. She has exhibited widely with solo exhibitions in Paris, Basel, and Cairo. Publications include Home and Design, Luxe, Traditional Home, Professional Artist (cover), and Create. Most recently, the Marriott Marquis DC purchased a sizable collection of Pollock’s paintings for their beautiful new hotel in downtown Washington D.C. Pollock’s work is included in the Bridgette Mayer Art Advisory in Los Angeles, CA and Philadelphia, PA.
These works are priced to be within reach to ordinary, working class collectors who value original art. And they’re great investments as this rising star continues to move up in the art world!
