Well-Paid Maids is Leading on Vaccinations

Dear PoPville readers,

I started D.C.’s only living-wage cleaning service because I believe in doing right by people, and my team has not lost sight of that vision for a moment. For more than a year now, Well-Paid Maids has prioritized employee and customer safety as we all faced COVID-19 together.

When the pandemic hit, we made the impossible decision to close temporarily, viewing it as the only way to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. Once the scientific community understood how the virus spread, we opened back up at a reduced capacity and with common-sense, people-first safety precautions in place, even when it hurt our bottom line.

As our community pushes to return to whatever the new normal looks like, I can promise you that Well-Paid Maids will continue to put health and safety first. For example, we are actively encouraging all employees to get vaccinated by offering substantial cash bonuses to those who are immunized and company-paid transportation to and from vaccination sites. The photo above is of Nishad (and his mother), who has been with us for three years, right after receiving their shots last week. You may remember Nishad from our last PoPville post.

By offering these incentives, we hope to eliminate as many barriers as possible that our staff face in receiving this life-changing medical intervention. In short, we are doing what we have always done: putting people before profits, whether they are our customers or members of our team.

If our values match your own, I encourage you to please support our company by booking a cleaning on our website today. Happy workers do better work — your home will never be cleaner than after a visit from Well-Paid Maids — and you can feel good about where your money is going. Give us a try; you won’t regret it!

Regards,

Aaron Seyedian

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
