“I’m exhausted – this has been a hard summer on my block. Between coming home to people passed out and eventually dying to K2 synthetic drugs, being barricaded inside of my house by men threatening me before going to work, men peeing with their pants down at my door step, dodging bullets and daily harassment; nothing prepared me for what I came home to after work today. As I began laughing at this triple human sized teddybear laying out on a shopping cart in front of my house, my laugh is full of exhaustion, sadness, desperation, despair and lost hope to the new normal. As I laughed the entire rest of the night, my heart is heavy and I have sadness. I couldn’t help to wonder if this teddybear is tired too.”
